The Friends of Recovery fundraiser was October 22nd at Mission Theater.  The evening consisted of a Talent Show,  Silent Auction and Dinner which was catered by Nadler’s of Wellington.  Our Master of Ceremonies was  David Kious a stand up comedian and radio personality.  The performers in the talent show included Jeri Anderton~ Singer, Kimberlie Hill~ Poet, Mark Gaines~ Christian Rapper, Scott Nance~ Violinist, and Art Marks~ Singer.  Janet Carter, Judy Wenger,  and Ric Evans had the incredibly hard task of judging the competition and deciding on a winner.  The Judges chose a very moving and inspirational poem by Kimberlie Hill.  The Silent Auction items included two sets of tickets for the Missouri Rep, a free night at Extended Stay, a gift certificate for Chacko’s Bakery, beautifully hand crafted necklace and earrings by Jewelry with a Twist, 2 designer faux purses, autographed posters and a print by Stan Herd, several paintings by various artists,   Nadler’s gift basket,   etched Mikasa bowl donated by Art Glass Productions,  autographed pictures of Tom Cruise, Barbara Streisand and Troy Aikman,  and numerous fantastic centerpieces created and donated by Carole Thrasher.
